Adaptive technologies are used to support learners.  Its helps them be able to learn while overcoming whatever disabilities they may.  Some very interesting technologies for reading are the recorded books, electronic texts, or scan/read systems.  The recorded books provide audio versions of books.  It allows a book to be read to you if you are not able to read the words yourself.  The electronic texts is a text book that is non visual.  The scan/read system allows you to scan any work document and changes it to a digital display.  As you can see there are many different options.  The offer options for reading, writing and so many other things.  They really make learning capable for all students
You can use power point to explain many things according to Bloom's Taxonomy.  For create, you can design new pieces of work an produce new work.  For evaluate, you can show the different sides of an argument and see the support for a pro and con.  For analyze, you can make a venn diagram to show and compare and contrast between two ideas.  For apply, solve problems such as math or sketch  a new idea.  For understand, you can explain and idea or describe it.  Wether its a powerpoint on the the amendments or if its just on how to make a peanut butter sandwich.  For remember, this helps you recall facts and ideas.  This is all about lists and definitions and memorizing.  These are all so easy to show on a powerpoint.  It allows for a more visual representation of the work while still getting the job done.

Resource Critique Activity

I decided to research 4th grade work!  I came across standard   LAFS.4.RI.3.7.  This standard is all about interpreting information not presented necessarily in a traditional way.  It shows information in terms of charts, diagrams, interactive videos etc.  We use these tools so we can then compare to our text information and see exactly how it has helped us arrive to our answer.  I chose to study an example of an activity.  Its labeled as c.014 comprehension, expository text structure and text feature find.  The purpose of the activity is almost like a scavenger hunt.  You will need a book and the worksheet.  The worksheet is set up as a chart and has different things it wants you to look for.  You then go into the book and search for each example and then right yes or no in the chart if you found it.  The examples range from bar charts, to table of content, and even a glossary.  Its suppose to help you familiarize yoursel...

The " Flipped Classroom" is a very interesting and useful concept for students of all ages.  It allows students to watch videos to help prepare them for class the following day.  Class will then be spent answering any questions you may have pertaining to the video.  This allows students to learn not only from the teacher but also another source.  It limits the amount of talking the teacher has to do and allows for more questions to be asked.  It also allows for more classroom time to be used for more productive things.  Its a very cool because teachers have a choice between using videos from an already given site such as khan academy or, make there own videos.  A teacher is able to personalize these videos for his or her teaching them exactly what they want to teach them as appose to them retaining information they don't need to know.  This is also a great thing for students who miss class because it allows them to stay up to date without being th...
